Does your child love to dance, play with their favorite doll, and socialize with new/old friends? This is the perfect camp for your child! We’ll learn new moves, make a tutu for our dolls, and make a music video.
DESCRIPTION OF CHILDREN’S CLASSES:
Fairy Tale Ballet: Young dancers gain a love for dancing through challenging movement and rhythm games while hearing the stories of classical ballets such as The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. Children will begin to learn the foundation of dance and movement. They will begin to explore the use of their fine and large motor skills with a focus on rhythm and fun. Students will also learn the expectations of being in a dance class. Dancers will finish the session knowing how to take turns, listen to directions and follow/repeat short dance patterns.
Dance Technique: The class will be focused on posture, strength and moving in a technical, safe way. We will study several genres of dance throughout the series including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Contemporary. It is a fun, high energy class that will prepare them for the dance season ahead.
