Since the first time Mrs Jen put on a pair of ballet slippers, she dreamed of opening her own School of Dance. A place where dancers of all ages felt comfortable to grow, learn and succeed. Jen’s experience both as a dance educator and professional dancer speaks for itself. Several of her prior students studied at renowned institutions (such as the Boston Conservatory), found their ‘happy place’ at college by joining the dance team, and (she believes her biggest accomplishment :)) kept dancing into adulthood for fun. Mrs. Jen’s personal mission is to instill a life-long-love for moving and learning in her students. She hopes to be part of your family’s journey.

Mission:
Exhale’s mission is to demonstrate that dancers can receive an elite education without the damaging ramifications of an elitist mindset.
To achieve this, we purposefully prioritize each dancer’s well-being over ego or accolades. This includes ensuring appropriate training hours, consistently reminding dancers of their inherent worth regardless of external achievements, and selecting costumes that flatter all body types.
Vision:
Our vision is creating a dance education that truly serves all bodies, where perfection is not the objective and everyone feels a profound sense of belonging. A dance education that is not only ‘good enough for now’, but rather, ‘good enough to last a lifetime’.
Values:
Here at Exhale, we teach more than dance steps. We want our students to have a firm understanding of community, empowerment, storytelling, strength, joy, body awareness, and art. Exhale dance is working to transform the narrative so that parents enthusiastically embrace dance, seeing it as a world of authentic beauty, empowering costumes, and deep-seated self-love.
